Our Dream Neighbor Policy
It’s great when homeowners want to remodel their homes and improve their property. Home improvements increase the value of a home and often, increase the value of surrounding homes.
But when homeowners wake up to the sounds of banging hammers and buzzing saws at 5:30 a.m., they may not be as supportive of their neighbor’s home improvement project.
Shawn Bowman of California Home Builders realizes that when a homeowner is remodeling their home, it affects everyone around them. In May 2007, Bowman began a unique program called the Dream Neighbor Policy™.
Residents in the neighborhoods of every California Dream Builders project will receive an introduction letter describing the Dream Neighbor Policy™. It includes Bowman and his staff's pledge to:
- Be considerate of the surrounding neighborhood
- Observe quiet hours of 7:30 pm - 6:00 am
- Promise to keep a clean workspace, free of unsightly debris
- Make themselves available to discuss any issues with neighbors
- Resolve those issues quickly
Residents will also be given access to each project manager onsite should needs arise.
This policy considers the needs of the neighborhood and not just the homeowner and is just one of the unique services California Dream Builders provides.
